Morzan swallowed nervously looking at the dragon as it landed before him. He was almost certain this mountain-sized dragon was the kings but as he glanced up at the reptiles orbs he found them to be violet instead of the piecing ice blue he’d been expecting. Looking closer at the dragon he could see other subtle differences and when it spoke to him he relaxed completely. This dragon was not Shruikan sent to find and eradicate the ex-rider.
Breathing a soft sigh of relief Morzan looked up at the great onyx dragon before him and gave a slight bow “Forgive me, Skulblaka. You’re in the western parts of the Du Weldenvarden forest, If you head south you’ll find yourself over Isenstar lake and Gil’ead. From there you should be able to navigate yourself in the correct direction to wherever it is you’re travelling to”
Curling smoke, it rose through the still air as it burst from dark nostrils, dark against the sky blue above. Zan eyed the male curiously, great head tilted a margin to the side as he took in the unfamiliar scents surrounding him. His reactions were curious, the onyx beast unaccustomed to such a welcome from a kind so keen on fleeing in his wake. A flight from nonexistent flames.
"These names are unfamiliar human. How far from Eastern skies do I fly? Is Exercia not far from this land?" His voice rumbled, deeper than his shifted form. At his sides, dark wings folded and rustled, the trees singing their praise in a voice heard only by few. Once more amethyst met darkness as he stared into seemingly human eyes.
Morzan rolled his eyes somewhat, leaning against the wall “I did not choose to become a rider Zan, Rosette chose me. I am not to blame for the bond that runs between us, it’s the result of a spell that was cast over her egg many centuries ago” Morzan gazed at the dragon prince with a calm and collected ease, unwilling to initiate a fight between them “I dont doubt you know that already though”
"And what race placed that curse upon her egg? Certainly not one of my kind rider.” He spit out the title, positively fuming with silent fury at the prospect of his kind beneath another. "Facts of another time mean little to me. You are still young rider, far younger than those of which raised myself and those akin to me."

"….." The fuck is this guy doing? "Get out of my way…." His voice was quiet, a whisper but quite aggressive.
”…” Zan blinked, quite surprise coating his expression in response to the rash, vulgar words of the male that stood before him. “…Excuse me…?" Sharp violet irises narrowed dangerously though Zan fought to keep his expression neutral. Despite however many years it had been, he was still a prince in his own right and he didn’t take kindly to offense.
“Nice to meet you as well, Zan.” The huntress said with a small smile on her lips.
Zan smiled faintly, pleased to have met another so soon. "I’m afraid I’m a bit lost around these parts. Are you at all familiar with the area?"
“You’re quite welcome. Forgive me for not introducing myself. I’m Cadence Nightshade.”
"There is nothing to forgive Miss. It is a pleasure to meet you young Cadence. You may call me Zan."
“A lot actually. Welcome back.”
”Oh…? Why thank you.” He tilted his head to the side slightly, bright eyes gazing back at her. "It’s good to be back."
